2) What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the Barakah Mindset mobile app (iOS/Android) and related services (our API).
This notice is specific to Barakah Mindset and does not describe data practices for other Nubariks Dynamics websites or products.
3) Data we collect
Account & identity
- Email address and account credentials (handled through our authentication provider).
- A user identifier used to sign you in and associate your app data with your account (the app uses an authentication user ID).
- Display name / preferred name (if you choose to set one).
Wellbeing & app content you create
- Habits you create or select, and your habit completion logs.
- Your daily intention text (if you add one).
- Reflections/journal inputs you choose to save (including fields like what brought/drained barakah, blessings noticed, duʿā text) and mood selections/tags.
Date of birth (optional)
If you enter your date of birth to compute an approximate Hijri age, the app stores a date value on your device and may send it to our API for calculation.
Subscriptions & purchases
If you purchase a subscription, the app uses our subscription provider (RevenueCat) and the app stores to process payments and determine entitlements. The app links your subscription state to your account using your app user ID.
4) How we use your data
- Provide core app functionality (habits, reflections, history, and stats).
- Personalize your experience (e.g., focus selection and habit recommendations within the app).
- Provide AI-supported features (via our API endpoints) such as guidance and summaries.
- Manage subscriptions/entitlements and restore purchases.
- Support data export and account-data deletion requests initiated in the app.
5) Sharing & processors
We use third-party service providers to run parts of the app. These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for their services:
- Clerk — authentication (email/password and Apple/Google sign-in flows).
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement checks (in conjunction with Apple App Store / Google Play billing).
- Expo (EAS/Updates) — app build/update infrastructure (the app is configured for Expo Updates).
Unknown from this repo: the full set of device/diagnostic data collected automatically by the above SDKs. Refer to the providers' own privacy documentation for details.
6) Your choices and rights
- Export: you can export a portable text report of your Barakah Mindset data in-app.
- Delete app data: you can delete your Barakah Mindset data in-app (habits, logs, reflections, and related history). The app indicates that your sign-in account may remain available after deleting app data.
- Access/correction: contact us if you need help accessing or correcting your data.
7) Data retention
We keep your app data for as long as you maintain an account, unless you delete it. If you delete your app data, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your app account, except where limited retention is required for legal, security, billing, or compliance purposes.

8) Security
- We use HTTPS for network communication in production.
- The app uses platform-provided secure storage for sensitive local items (e.g., authentication session tokens and onboarding state).
9) Children
Barakah Mindset is not directed to children under 13.

We are based in the United Kingdom, and our service providers may process data in other countries, depending on where you are located and which providers you use (for example, sign-in and subscription services).
